Dan Pelleg
Dan Pelleg is the cofounder, choreographer and dancer of the wee dance company, of which, togeter with Marko E. Weigert, he is artistic director. Dan studied dance at different schools in Israel and moved to Berlin in 1996. He teaches contemporary dance and contemporary partnering in the Balance One Dance academy and Dock 11 in Berlin, and has given workshops in contemporary dance and contemporary partnering in Germany, Holland, Israel, Cyprus, Russia and Zimbabwe.
Except for choreographing for the wee dance company, he choreographed in 2005 for the "Jüdische Kulturwoche in Stuttgart" the duet "Why Oh", in 2006 for the Ballet Vorpommern the piece "simplest", in 2007 together with Marko E. Weigert for the Görlitzer Ballet the piece "Diskutanz", in 2008 for the opera production "The Abduction from the Seraglio" by W. A. Mozart at the Kiel Opera House, in 2009 for the Görlitz City Theatre for the production ''Café Oriental'' and together with Marko E. Weigert for the opera "Linkerhand" by Moritz Eggert (director: Sebastian Ritschel) and in 2010 for the Görlitz City Theatre for the production ''New York, New York'' (director: Ronny Scholz) and for the opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet (director: Sebastian Ritschel).
He performed pieces by Ahn Eun-Me, Alex B., Anjelin Preljocaj, Christian von Borries, Christoph Winkler, De De Dance (Amit Goldenberg, Yaara Dolev), "De La Guarda" in Berlin, Dominique Efstratiou, Elisabeth Orlowsky, Ellys, Gundula Peuthert, Helge Musial, Jiři Kilian, Joseph Tmim, Lara Barsaque, Lionel Hoche, Mark Wuest, Marko E. Weigert, Norbert Servos, Ohad Naharin, Phase 7, Rami Levi, Rina Shenfeld, Sommer Ulrickson, Tomi Paasonen and others.
