Carlo Massari & Chiara Taviani (Italy)

In 2011 Chiara Taviani and Carlo Massari founded the company C&C working together on their first piece: Corpo e Cultura. Rewarded with the 1st price at the "By Pass 2012" (Italy), the piece is showcased at several European Festivals and both artists are granted residencies in France and Italy.

Chiara and Carlo are now working on two new pieces: 012 and Maria Addolorata, being selected for "ImpulzTanz 2013", "Be Festival" (GB), "21st Quinzena de danca de Almada" (P) and shown for the first time in Germany at LUCKY TRIMMER # 20.

Chiara & Carlo define the approach of their company as “working in close relation with society in its various aspects. Through a bare-bones language free from superstructure, C & C tries to analyze the depth of relationships by meeting people and trying to bring truth onto the stage. All this is enabled by a physical language that allows the audience to feel represented within universality.”
