Biography

Corneliu Ganea (Rom) studied at Liceul de Arte, in Galati and Bucharest, Romania. Furthermore he followed an education at Schweizerischen Ballettberufsschule (SBBS) and The Performance Year, both Zürich, Switzerland.


In 2000 he joined Ballet Theater Augsburg, Germany and in 2004 he started working for Ballet Theater Münich, Germany. From 2006 till 2007 he has been dancing for Galili Dance in Groningen, the Netherlands. He has also worked with Krisztina de Chatel.

He choreographed several pieces for Ballet Theater Augsburg and Theater Münich. He has received numerous awards and prizes as a dancer and choreographer in Germany, Japan and Spain. Including:

"3rd Prize" at the 16th Internationalen Wettbewerb für Choreographen, Hannover (2002)

"Second Prize" at the III Certamen Internacional de Coreografía en Danza Moderna Burgos - New York (2004)

"First Prize" at the IV Certamen Internacional de Coreografía en Danza Moderna Burgos - New York (2005).

Since 2008 Corneliu is a freelance dancer and choreographer.
