Collectif ÈS

The Lyon based contemporary dance company Collectif ÈS  is an initiative of Sidonie Duret, Jeremy Martinez and Emilie Szikora. After training respectively in Toulouse, Grenoble and Rouen, they meet in 2009 at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Lyon where they work with Marie Françoise Garcia, juliette Beauviche, Anne Martin. They have the opportunity to collaborate with architects, plastic artists as well as with musicians.

For their graduation, Jérémy worked with Samuel LEFEUVRE (Peeping Tom and Groupe Entorse - Belgium), Sidonie with Marc LORIMER (Cie Rosas- Belgium) and Emilie with Tino FERNANDEZ (Cie L'Explose - Colombia).

In its work, the Collectif ÈS believes that the performance space and the audience space can merge into a common place in order to create a peculiar moment.

Sidonie Duret born in 1990 is a sensitive child, easily moved by the ballets of the classical repertoire.Fortunately, she learnt at the CNR in Toulouse that contemporary dance can be fun too. She hangs the pointe shoes for good and join the CNSMD in Lyon. 

Her motto? Whistling while working!

Jérémy Martinez begin his life the 28th of July 1991 in Grenoble. At the age of 10, he retires form his great football career and focuses on a the better world of contemporary dance. After his first steps in Grenoble, he took advantage of the CNSMD in Lyon where he meets his new stage acolytes and develops a passion for singing.

Klara Mohrain came into the world in 1991 under the tropics of La Réunion. She has always loved dancing even though it doesn´t show in P'Lay's. Her companions discovered in her a passion for the non-movement and television. 

Emilie Szikora showed the tip of her nose in July 1991. She imagines herself humbly a "danseuse étoile". Obviously contemporary dance saves her and allows her to come to the CNSMD in Lyon where she meets her naughty companions, discovers the joy of creation and few financial difficulties.
