LUCKY TRIMMER invites you on our latest journey through the creative landscape of international dance and performing arts. The 16th edition presents the German premiere of many of the pieces in this series, from award winning artists who tour on the world presenting their work.
LUCKY TRIMMER #16 includes pop-up tents with attitude, philosophical street dance, the tragic love story between a fish and a bird, gestural ways of dropping a brick, a Butoh interpretation of Nijinski's faun and even more surprises up our sleeve.
LUCKY TRIMMER promises to be an evening for lovers of multifaceted dance and performing arts, for adventurers and especially for those who keep looking onto our world with the curious eyes of a child.

LUCKY TRIMMER e.V., in addition to supporting emerging artists, presents a broad vision of styles, methods and themes within the realm of contemporary dance and performance. The maximum length of 10 minutes is the only constraint given to the applicants. The eight short choreographed pieces in LUCKY TRIMMER #16 were chosen to reflect these goals from a pool of nearly 300 applications from 26 countries – a record breaking number of submissions for one show.
Since 2004 LUCKY TRIMMER has been presenting shows within this unique framework without public funding. Established as a non-profit organization, it curates shows twice a year, produced by a dedicated team of volunteers, avid supporters and private sponsors.
With generous support from Katarina Witt, Amy Stafford - Studio Blixa 6, Erhard Knote, bug&pug partners, dtb rechtsanwälte, Berliner Fenster, Maja’s Deli, Arcoverde Pilates Zentrum, Weingalerie & Cafe Nö!, DOCK 11, raumstation Berlin and enthusiastic encounters.
