LUCKY you - it's TRIMMER time! For its 2015 edition, held at the prestigious SOPHIENSAELE theatre in the heart of Berlin-Mitte, LUCKY TRIMMER is seeking original short pieces.

LUCKY TRIMMER showcases a selection of short performances in bite-sized chunks; no more than 10 minutes each. We spotlight both emerging and established performing artists who ́s work captures our hearts and minds; provoke and blaze new trails. Our unassimilated and weatherproof curatorial team handpicks pieces that are engaged with physicality, movement and performance and which in a surprising, convincing, controversial, astonishing, wondrous or simply fun way contribute in the advancement and the diversity of the contemporary dance scene. LUCKY TRIMMER stands between worlds - bridging the avant-guarde and the mainstream and combining artistical excellence with the lightness of entertainment - and aspires to present a multi-faceted vision of what performing arts is today. Of course our 10-minute-limit per piece is as always holy and unavoidable!

Submissions are subject to an application fee of 15 €

Deadline: 30 JANUARY 2015

Shows: 12 & 13 June 2015 (3 shows in total - technical rehearsal 11 June 2015)

Where: SOPHIENSAELE Theater in the heart of Berlin-Mitte

Money: 500 € per piece (no coverage of travel costs - no accommodation provided)
Note: we can assist our international artists in organizing cheap or occasionally free lodging. We can not promise any miracles but we come pretty close to it sometimes!

Info: We only accept pieces that are 10 min. maximum. You will only have 1 hour to tech and space your piece on stage so keep your lighting and technical wishes simple
