About TED

TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design.

Its mission: Spreading ideas. 

TED believes passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. So TED is building on its website a clearinghouse that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world's most inspired thinkers, and also a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other.  The annual TED conferences, in Long Beach/Palm Springs and Oxford, bring together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).

The LUCKY Team was fascinated and truly inspired by some of the talks broadcasted on TED website and this concept of sharing ideas gave birth to LUCKY THINKING. Although LUCKY THINKING is still baby stepping, we hope that in a not-so-far away future we will be able to install a similar pool of ideas in Berlin from which choreographers, artists of any kind, members of the audience and basically anybody will be able to get inspired.
