In June 2011 and in the context of the Tanz Performance Serie # 16, LUCKY TRIMMER e.V. launched its first ever LUCKY SUMMIT. Hosted by fabrik Potsdam and in partnership with Reso Dance Network Switzerland, that first gathering was a milestone in providing an opportunity for festival organizers, choreographers, artists and dance aficionados to meet in a creative and casual atmosphere, to share ideas and to build new bridges.

Enriched and enthusiastic from that first LUCKY SUMMIT, we decided that this two-hour event should be regularly held during the course of the LUCKY TRIMMER festival.

In a nutshell, The LUCKY Team envisions the LUCKY SUMMIT to:

Provide background information about the development and organization of LUCKY TRIMMER.

Offer a time and place for connecting with like minded cultural promoters and supporters of the short performance format.

Discuss the benefits of establishing an international network for short piece platforms - fostering, for example, an exchange of venues, reciprocal invitations, subsidized application partnerships.

Spread the infectious spirit of the short performance format and ignite the LUCKY spark.

Trade ideas and exchange experiences regarding new ways of presenting dance and performance art, economic sustainability, artist and audience development, etc.

Grant an opportunity for artists to contribute their vision and share in an open dialogue.
